Susan Derges
British photographic artist living and working in Devon. She specialises in camera-less photographic processes, most often working with natural landscapes. She has exhibited extensively in Europe, America and Japan and her works are in several important museum collections.
Derges engages with such transformative themes in her treatment of elemental forces, testing the inter-relation between earth, water, air and fire. Her beautifully-crafted images reflect a holistic system that encompasses the human psyche and finds its metaphors through the natural world.
